Description

Touch football is a fast-paced, non-contact variation of rugby, where tackling is replaced by a simple touch, making it a great sport with a reduced risk of injury. It’s easy to learn, making it perfect for players of all skill levels - from beginners to advanced athletes.

Our competition will follow a mixed round-robin format, with the top four teams advancing to the medal games. Each team can register a maximum of 14 players, with up to 6 players on the field at any time. Teams are required to have a minimum of 2 female players on the field during play. A total of 8 substitute players are permitted, allowing for plenty of rotation throughout the game.

Whether you're new to the sport or a seasoned player, we invite you to join us for a fun and inclusive competition that promotes teamwork, fitness, and community spirit.

The Touch Football competition is scheduled for Saturday, 26th October 2024, at Arthur Beachley Reserve, Ardoyne Street, Sunshine.

Facilities

Facilities, including change rooms and toilets, will be available throughout the day. Participants are encouraged to bring their own food and refreshments for the duration of the event. Additional details and requirements will be shared with participants ahead of the competition via email.

Special Instructions

Touch footballs will be provided for the competition. Each team must wear matching tops (T-shirts or singlets) with clearly visible numbers on the back for easy identification. The rules will be emailed to all participants, so please ensure your email address is included on the entry form. The rules will also be confirmed during the week of the competition.

Teams & Individual Events

If you do not have a team, please contact the sport coordinators via email as soon as possible. If you have a team, please register as soon as possible. Any issues, contact a coordinator.
